Young Professionals Summit
[Wednesday, Apr 7th, 2010]
Lexington is hosting the Creative Cities Summit (April 7-9), a global conference
on how cities are facing this economic crisis in creative and innovative ways.  LYPA is involved with the Youth & Diversity Council which has partnered with the Creative Cities Summit to hold a special pre-conference Young Professionals Summit that will focus on how our region can attract and retain young talent.  The event will showcase Kentucky people and projects as well as bringing in young professional groups from outside the region to share best practices and learning. 

Employers all over the region as well as our government and economic development leaders have repeatedly said how important our young talent is to the long term vitality of communities.  The YP Summit is an opportunity to bring these young leaders together and showcase our efforts to make Lexington and Kentucky a magnet for world class talent.

Keeneland Tailgate
[Saturday, Apr 10th, 2010]
Location: Louisville Lot, next to the 2nd Turn

LYPA will be hosting a tailgate at Keeneland on Saturday morning April 10th. The area will be set up by 10am and remain open until mid-afternoon, so feel free to stop by anytime during the day. We will be providing free food for any and all members who want to come enjoy the day with us before and during the races. We will also be providing some alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages free of charge, but depending on the crowd size, you might want to bring your own in case we run out.

Professional Development Committee Meeting
