Third Thursday Happy Hour/Community Involvement: Atomic Cafe

Due to forecasted inclement weather for this evening, LYPA’s Atomic Dog benefit for the Lexington Humane Society has been POSTPONED. The event has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 19 from 6-8 pm at the Atomic Café patio. For more information, contact sally.billings@yahoo.com. Photo entries for the Pet Photo Contest will remain open through Friday, June 13. Photos previously submitted will be held over for the new event date. Monthly Luncheon: Lexington Legends

The luncheon will be from 11:30 to 1:00 at The Crowne Plaza Campbell House's Kilbern Restaurant in the Turf Room. The cost is $15 (members) and $18 (non-members), and includes lunch. The speaker will be Andy Shea from the Lexington Legends. Business attire is required. If you are interested in attending, please contact Jed Kerkhoff at membership@lypa.org.

Annual Rising Stars

The Annual Rising Stars event will be on Thursday, May 29th. Award recipients will be recognized in the May issue of Business Lexington. An awards presentation luncheon will be held at The Hyatt (401 W. High St., Lexington, KY 40507) from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2008. All in the community are welcome and encouraged to attend. Costs for luncheon: LYPA Member $20; Non-LYPA Member $30; Table of 10 $250. You need to RSVP online at http://www.lypa.org/Rising_Stars_2008.htm. A reception will be held the same evening of the luncheon, May 29, honoring the individuals who were earlier recognized as LYPA's 20 Under 40. The reception is open to the public. Reception will be held at Hugo's, 206 W. Main St., Lexington, from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m.
